CAREER PREPARATION
I attended Digital Media Arts College from January 2004 to August 2006. It was one of the greatest experiences of my life. I met some wonderful friends, teachers, staff members, and even my wife. I still talk to some of my teachers for guidance and am still very close to the friends I made.
Most importantly, DMAC gave me the skills and mind set to find work after college. The third week out in California I had an interview with a (company) named Mighty Oak Entertainment (Whacked Out Sports, Video Zonkers). I interviewed and showed work I created while at DMAC. Two hours later, they offered me a position and cancelled the other interviews they had set up for the day. they made me head of animation.
Before landing this job, I had no problem getting interviews. I had three interviews with major animation companies after college. I went to the fourth interview process with one of them and the third with the other two. It was hard not to be discouraged when I didn't get the jobs. A positive outlook and thick skin is needed when looking for a position in the 3d field.
Without the guidance from my teachers and experience I gained from DMAC, there is no way I would be where I am at. I would like to thank all the staff members at DMAC for helping me and teaching me the skills needed to succeed.

UNIVERSITY OR SPECIALTY COLLEGE?
Every thing that you explained to me about DMAC has happened. (Our daughter) made the best decision possible when she transferred from (her large university) to pursue her passion at your school. One asset that DMAC offers, unlike a huge school, is that (our daughter) actually feels like everyone knows who she is. Also she is so pleased about the work she has done with Maya from her very first day!!

Since I've come to DMAC I've definitely grown as an artist in the area of my creativity and confidence. At the university I was attending before DMAC I had classes and teachers and assignments, but I didn't really learn much. I learned more at DMAC in one semester than I did in two semesters at my previous school.
I love the faculty here. Their personable manner was a part of the reason I choose to come here. They actually care enough about the students to think of us as more than just a student number. There's always a teacher around to ask for help or just an opinion. For the most part they are all artist like me. The most important thing I've learned from them is how broad my options are as an artist.

A CARING ENVIRONMENT
I can honestly say I was thrilled with all you and the school did for Jim and for us. Such a beautiful school. We were in awe. Everyone was so friendly and caring. I think the school did all they could for Jim, more than we expected and I would recommend it to anyone I knew that wanted to pursue this profession. I feel the school is great and you fulfilled all of your obligations to my son and I am sure to the rest of the students. You did what you said you would do and beyond that. I thank all of your for your teachings and your personal help. I don't know if we would have received this from another school but I know we did receive this from DMAC.

DMAC FULFILLS ITS PROMISE
In my search for a career that involves art and technology I found DMAC. It was just what I was looking for, the courses, the 24/7 high tech computer labs with the latest digital art and 3D software, the geographical location, the complete curriculum and especially the people.
Faculty... they become your pals, your friends, people you can trust, people who will care for you, giving the lessons you need to become a professional and also advice to become a better person.
One thing I was impressed about was that DMAC did what ever they promised me they would do. I was worried about my financial aid, about my housing situation, about a part time job; they told me not to worry, that they will take care of it, and that is how it was. DMAC does what the say they will do. What else can you expect?
I've been here just a few months, but I could say that one of the most memorable moments was my friends gathering to finish a modeling project, while having a BBQ, everyone was learning, helping each other out and having a blast!

Once I decided to major in animation, I researched and realized that my current college didn't offer 1/4 of what DMAC did. I loved the fact that DMAC had amazing equipment and that we would learn computer animation from the first day, not just Gen Ed courses.
I am so proud of what I've accomplished so far, being that's it's only my first semester. I've already learned how to model and texture characters and objects, Photoshop pretty much anything, my drawing skills have improved so much, and I actually enjoy the few Gen Ed classes I have. I'm finally
getting straight A's again and I love it.
I don't have a single teacher I don't like. That's rare in college. They all know what they're talking about and are always willing to help you anytime they can. They give you one-on-one attention and they expect the best from you always. They're all great people and love what they do.
From day one I knew that I was going to get everything I was told I would receive whether it be scholarships, amazing teachers, exciting classes, or a look into the world of animation.

YES, YOU CAN BE A DIGITAL ARTIST
I wanted to go to a college that allowed me to study everything I wanted to know about computer animation, even though I did not have a portfolio. DMAC offered me the opportunity to create that portfolio. The college is also in a very nice location, which aided in the decision to choose DMAC.
I think it's amazing that I can create an entire short film from scratch. I've learned more in the two years I've spent here than any two years of my life. I've learned everything I wanted to know about the computer animation field of study, including the various specializations, and I am now able to perfect my craft.
The faculty is amazing! They are easy-going, very knowledgeable, passionate, and they are willing to help you beyond the classroom at any point in time. DMAC promises you will get the best education as quickly as possible in your field of study. From the very first day at DMAC, everything is hands-on and a continuous stream of information. I'll always remember the friends I've made, how everyone is willing to help, and how DMAC made my childhood dream of being an animator come true.
