Student Services at DMAC offers as much cultural activities as social services. In cultural activities, we celebrate special holidays and occasions; arrange field trips to museums, movies, concerts…; plan field trips to the beach and parks in the vicinity where we can enjoy the beautiful scenery of our town while exercising; schedule conferences-lectures; promote internal competitions as well as participation in national and international ones in the fields of fine arts, general education, and the computer arts; offer language courses. Cultural life at DMAC envisions a holistic approach where the arts meet other fields.

In social services, we structure support groups covering social-psychological issues such as step-by-step work on discovering students’ best potentialities and special needs; link students to already existing associations and projects around us to be served and serve; discuss how to find a balance between spending and saving money at a time where youngsters can easily make mistakes and be deceived, which often leads to life-long problems; work on time management agendas to facilitate the process between learning and getting work done to meeting deadlines; provide access to basic services, such as medical information, libraries… around the school and students’ homes; prepare resumes and role play/training for job interviews; connect students with other students, parents, teachers, and staff in a partnership that considers the interests of all parts.

Regularly, students are invited for personal appointments where the school opens a dialogue for hearing their proposals while informing them about the importance of balancing individual needs and collective responsibilities. We work with students on comparing and analyzing grades from previous schools with grades from previous semesters and actual grades in order to find out where individual tutoring is needed. When appropriate, we help students to organize themselves, in a cooperative spirit, to find solutions for their specific problems.

However, the most important feature of our Student Services is that we pay attention. We face the challenge, 24/7, to respond to students’ needs to attain their goals. We provide an environment where no one is left either behind or outside, where personality traits and cultural diversity are not taken for granted. We believe we learn and progress better and faster when surrounded by a community network inside and outside the college.
