DMAC has an on-site housing advisor. Our process requires that you first
proceed through the complete admissions process and acceptance, followed by
completion of the financial aid process. At that time you will be put into contact
with the housing advisor.
What about roommates?
As part of the admissions process, you will complete a roommate profile sheet.
This roommate profile sheet stays in the student's file until completion of the
financial aid process, at which time it is forwarded to the housing department.
Every effort is made to match you with a roommate whose profile seems most
suitable for you.
When are housing assignments made?
Housing assignments are made in the month before the semester begins.
Because we work with independent properties, and inventory cycles rapidly, they
will not hold any particular apartment or duplex too far in advance of any class
start. Be assured, however, that our prime location means sufficient availability
to meet all our students' needs in a timely manner.
Are apartments or duplexes furnished?
The units are not furnished and arrangements need to be made for typical
furniture and personal appliances. The "Frequently Used Numbers" document
lists many nearby stores and shops, including major chains and thrift
stores, that help our students furnish quite economically.
