Professor of Computer Art: Computer Animation

Digital Media Arts College, a private college based in Boca Raton, Florida, offers the BFA and MFA degrees in Computer Animation and Graphic Design.  Currently the college is considering applicants for the position of Professor of Computer Art:  Animation

Minimum qualifications include a Master of Fine Arts degree, a strong portfolio of professional work, college level teaching experience, and industry experience in a computer arts field.  The successful applicant will be prepared to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels in one or more of the following: two-dimensional animation, the production processes and industry workflows, Autodesk Maya, Flash, and the Adobe suite of products.  Traditional art skills are helpful. 

It is also expected that the Professor contribute to the students’ development outside of the classroom by facilitating professionalism through promotion of competition awareness, participation in portfolio reviews, establishment of industry contacts, participating in MFA thesis committees, and be able to work effectively with administration to achieve institutional goals.

Minimum qualifications include a Master of Fine Arts degree, a strong portfolio of professional work, college level teaching experience, and industry experience in a computer arts field. The successful applicant will be prepared to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels in one or more of the following: two-dimensional design, the production processes and industry workflows, the Adobe suite of products, Quark, Flash, html, multimedia and motion graphics, Lingo and the Macromedia suite. 

It is also expected that the Professor contribute to the students’ development outside of the classroom by facilitating professionalism through promotion of competition awareness, participation in portfolio reviews, establishment of industry contacts, participating in MFA thesis committees, and be able to work effectively with administration to achieve institutional goals.
