Job Description and Responsibilities

DMAC is seeking candidates for a full-time undergraduate faculty position in Computer Animation.

Requirements
Qualified candidates should have an MFA degree. A strong, cutting edge portfolio and 2 years of industry experience is essential. College-level teaching experience is preferred. Ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate (via video reel, CD or Web site) an expert proficiency in Maya. Candidates must be able to communicate with, and motivate, students in modeling, texturing, rigging, lighting, animation and rendering, in addition to thinking creatively and critically in order to prepare students for the rapidly changing digital, broadcast, design, television, video and film industries.

Professor of Computer Art: Graphic Design

Digital Media Arts College, a private college based in Boca Raton, Florida, offers the BFA and MFA degrees in Computer Animation and Graphic Design. Currently the college is considering applicants for the position of Professor of Computer Art: Graphic Design. 

Minimum qualifications include a Master of Fine Arts degree, a strong portfolio of professional work, college level teaching experience, and industry experience in a computer arts field. The successful applicant will be prepared to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels in one or more of the following: two-dimensional design, the production processes and industry workflows, the Adobe suite of products, Quark, Flash, html, multimedia and motion graphics, Lingo and the Macromedia suite. 

It is also expected that the Professor contribute to the students' development outside of the classroom by facilitating professionalism through promotion of competition awareness, participation in portfolio reviews, establishment of industry contacts, participating in MFA thesis committees, and be able to work effectively with administration to achieve institutional goals.
