The Scholarship Committee at Digital Media Arts College awards scholarships to students in their respective programs. New students are reviewed for scholarship eligibility during the admissions process. DMAC offers Institutional scholarships in following areas:

Financial Need Based Scholarship

Merit Scholarship

Portfolio Scholarship Award

Financial Need Based Scholarship

Requirements

  • Must be accepted for admission to the College

  • Must demonstrate financial need

  • Must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher

Application Procedure

  • Complete a scholarship application form

  • Must submit a 250 word essay with application form

  • Provide quantitative financial information to Financial Aid office
Deadline

30 days prior to enrollment start date.

Basis for Selection

Student financial need is assessed on a case by case basis. DMAC uses quantitative indicators to determine a family's financial strength to pay for college and eligibility for scholarship. Quantitative factors include family income, credit score, and debts (mortgage, installment credit and existing student loans). Family size and the number of family members who will be attending college are also considered.

Range of Awards

Scholarship awards can range from "no award" to an amount equal to one academic year of tuition in the program in which enrolled.

Merit Scholarship

Requirements

  • Must be accepted for admission to the College

  • Must have a minimum High School grade point average of 2.5

  • Must be enrolled as a full-time student (12 credits or more)

  • Must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher

Application Procedure

  • Complete a scholarship application form

  • Must submit a 250 word essay with application form

  • Must submit official high school transcripts

Deadline

30 days prior to enrollment start date.

Basis for Selection

Student merit is assessed on a case by case basis and is based on academic and artistic achievements. Grades as recorded on the official high school transcript will be used to judge suitability for an academic merit award.

Range of Awards

Scholarship awards can range from "no award" to an amount equal to one academic year of tuition in the program in which enrolled.

Portfolio Scholarship Award

Requirements

  • Must be accepted for admission to the College

  • Must be enrolled as a full-time student (12 credits or more)

  • Must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher

Application Procedure

  • Complete a scholarship application form

  • Complete a project as defined in the application form for the department in which the student is enrolled

  • Ensure the student's name is on all project components

  • DMAC will not consider projects that don't meet these essential requirements
Deadline

30 days prior to enrollment start date.

Basis for Selection

Portfolio projects will be judged by a panel of DMAC faculty members from the department in which the student is enrolled.

Range of Awards

Scholarship awards can range from "no award" to 1000.00 dollars.

Note for all Scholarships

All scholarships offerings are used as minimum starting points for consideration. These criteria may be applied more rigorously depending upon the size and qualifications of the applicant pool. Meeting the minimum criteria does not guarantee selection. Scholarships are only valid for the matriculation date recipients indicate on their scholarship applications. All work submitted for the purposes of Admissions or Scholarships becomes the property of Digital Media Arts College. Portfolios and original work that are sent to the College will NOT be mailed back. The College assumes no responsibility for original pieces of artwork submitted or mailed in.
